| The PTO Purpose:The purpose of this organization is for supporting the education of the children at the Thompson Middle School by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers.We are in the planning stages of what our role in the school system should be. Do we raise money to support field trips? Do we help supply the school with extra equipment that is not in the school budget or do we run and support extra curriculum activities such as reading programs and family nights? Do we try to do all of them? This is what we need the parents and the teachers to come and help us decide on.We are working on establishing a budget but it will take us at least one full year before we can determine how much we need to raise annually.Please come and join us and help make a difference in your child's education. |
