Thompson’s Middle School Media Center has been home to many projects over the years.  Through a grant, it has been a training ground for our first Internet steps, a research place for Seek Out Science and Accelerated Reader, a classroom for mini research projects in the 5th and 6th grades, and for the first introductory Spanish classes, as well as a home for reading challenges such as the Nutmeg Book Awards, and the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge.

reading adventures. The new overhead projectors have already been used for student powerpoint presentations and teacher-created instructional powerpoint presentations as well as viewing student writing, etc.

 

Three new sections have been added to the media center collection this year: A professional section, an audio book section, and a young adult section.  Individual titles can be viewed in our online catalog.
