Mrs. Stone’s Messages to Parents

The classes I teach are 5th Grade Math E Period, Support with Wilson Reading G Period, and Reading Comprehension with Thinking Basics

and the novel Becoming Naomi Leon by Pam Munoz Ryan F Period. I do not typically give homework in these classes. I find it
works better if I have them do the work in class so I can monitor the progress of skills and give assistance as needed.

If there are assignments that require the students do a project at home, I will enter it in their agendas and on the website.

I am in Inclusion in the following classes:

Mrs. Domina’s Reading class A Period on Monday and Friday. Any homework assignments will be on her website. I know each week the students have a vocabulary packet to complete with a test on the words on Fridays.

That class is currently reading the novel The Cay by Theodore Taylor and discussing the various reader text connections.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I am in a 6th Grade Math Class with Mrs. Dean ( Mariotti). Student’s homework assignments are listed on that website.

I work in Mr. Lucason’s Language Arts class B Period with two students. We are currently identifying parts of a sentence, doing writing prompts, and spelling, I assist the students to participate in the general curriculum with the rest of the students. Again, any homework will be on his website.

C Period I assist in Mrs. Andersen’s 6th Grade Reading class. We are working on vocabulary. We are reading short stories to practice making connections to the text through understanding how it relates to or lives, other books we have read, or to things we know about the world around us.

D Period is my planning. I can be reached by Email sstone@thompsonpublicschools.org or by calling 923-9380 ext.138.
